Millers Mutual Celebrates The Retirement Of Stuart Cohen

Millers Mutual announces the retirement of Stuart Cohen, who will conclude more than seven years of dedicated service at Millers on Friday, February 27, 2026.

Stuart joined Millers on September 4, 2018, bringing his experience and passion for the insurance industry to the company. When he started, Riverside—a then-new account—wrote just $208,481 in premium with Millers. Today, Riverside writes over $4.4 million with an impressive 8.5% loss ratio, reflecting Stuart’s leadership, diligence, and commitment to excellence.

During his tenure, Stuart played a pivotal role in Millers’ growth and expansion. He strengthened key client relationships, contributed to Millers’ entry into North Carolina, and deepened partnerships with aggregators. Under his influence, Millers’ direct written premium grew from $72 million at the start of his tenure to over $127 million by the end of 2025, supported by more than 500 agencies nationwide.

Beyond impressive sales achievements, Stuart made lasting contributions to Millers’ operations and culture. He led the Additional Products and Services Team, helped vet new offerings for both Millers and Riverside, ran the Agency Advisory Council, contributed to the integration of APIP into agency contracts, and played a key role in implementing CRM for the agency appointment process—streamlining operations for the Sales team. As a member of the Millers Safety Committee and a driving force behind team celebrations, Stuart’s efforts helped create a safe, supportive, and vibrant work environment.

“Stuart’s greatest strength has always been his personal touch,” said Karen Anuscavage, Vice President of Human Resources. “He builds relationships one conversation at a time and represents Millers with charm, grace, and professionalism. He has been the glue of our Sales and Marketing Team and a trusted ambassador of our company.”

Before joining Millers, Stuart served as a police officer in Florida for over six years and spent more than 20 years with Encompass, gaining a wealth of experience across the insurance industry. Outside of work, he is a devoted husband to his wife Kim and a proud father of two daughters.

Millers Mutual extends its heartfelt gratitude to Stuart Cohen for his leadership, friendship, and the legacy he leaves behind. We wish him joy, fulfillment, and well-deserved relaxation in this next chapter of life.
