Millers Mutual Ranked #40 of the Central Penn Business Journal’s Best Places to Work in PA for 2017!
“This was exciting for us as a major focus of ours over the past few years has been on our culture,” said Scott Orndorff, President & CEO of Millers Mutual Insurance. “I believe that if you get the culture right, operating results, growth, opportunities, all happen because you’ve worked on the core. Today, we see ourselves as a culture-driven organization which was affirmed once we received the announcement of making the Best Places to Work in PA list in 2017.”
This survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Pennsylvania. Employers are categorized based upon the total number of employees they have in the United States, 15 to 99 employees (Millers Mutual Insurance falls into this category with 75 employees), 100 to 250 employees, or more than 250 employees.
“Since our focus has been on our culture, we have been able to attract and hire amazing and talented people who fit with the culture that is so special at Millers,” said Karen Anuscavage, Vice President Human Resources. “Bringing in a mix of several generations has helped to enhance the skills and round-out the uniqueness of our company.”
Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the 100 Best Places to Work in PA. The first part of this process was evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process.
Millers Mutual was recognized at the Best Places to Work in PA awards banquet on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at the Lancaster County Convention Center in Lancaster, PA.
