In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we asked around the office and compiled a list of reasons our employees are thankful to work in insurance.  The insurance industry isn’t seen as the most glamorous of industries, but our employees can’t understand why. It’s a great industry with much to be thankful for.

“When we provide coverage for a property owner, there is that assurance they can move on to other issues in their lives.  The property is taken care of.  It’s truly a rewarding career.”—Tyne Stock, Underwriter

“I get to spend my time writing and educating our customers and agents about ways to prevent losses and mitigate risks. I feel that my work in marketing is truly benefiting others.” – Katie Gouldner, PR & Marketing Communications Specialist

“I’ve been fortunate to have such wonderful mentors throughout my career.” – Alexis Fetchko, Assistant Underwriter

“Working in claims can be challenging at times but it can also be rewarding and satisfying. We work with our customers at a difficult time, when a loss has occurred, and they are leaning on us for assistance. Fortunately, at Millers, we have a supportive and caring environment which provides us with the opportunity to help each other and to help our customers during their time of need.” –Tim Kirk, Vice President of Claims

At the end of the day, the insurance industry provides people with opportunity. The opportunity to learn, grow and help others achieve their dreams. And, being in the business of helping people, is a great business to be in. Happy Thanksgiving from Millers Mutual.
